We are three dedicated pet parents out to bring some good to the world. Combined, we have over two decades of animal care experience, and strive to bring a community focused approach to animal rescue.

Our inspiration comes from our beautiful furbabies, all rescues from around the country!

Board of Directors

Erin Handley

(She/Her/Dragon)

President

Erin is a true Seattlite, growing up in the center of the universe in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. She found a love for animals while volunteering at a local sanctuary. Erin found herself sweating the desert heat in southern California, and luckily found her sweet pup, Dakota. Erin’s knowledge as a horse whisperer and compost extraordinaire makes her a valuable piece of our sanctuary.

Shaina Ward Siegel

(They/Them/Their)

Vice President

Brought in from our great neighbor’s to the north, Shaina brings their rock n roll flare to our sanctuary. When Shaina isn’t tearing up the bass, they’re bringing compassion to caring for the animals we save. Shaina adopted their pup Biscuit 6 years ago.

Mike Ezzo

(They/Them/Their)

Executive Director

Mike has been working with animals for 15 years, starting on a dairy farm in upstate New York, and transitioning to working with dogs when moving to Seattle in 2011. In 2014, Mike adopted their rescue pup, Pickle, and life became all about dog care. They fell in love with rehabilitating and training rescue dogs from working at an animal shelter, and wants to bring that experience to help other families in the PNW.
